| Maya Mountain Research Farm, Belize
MMRF is a registered NGO in Belize, working on issues of food security and biological diversity. The farm is located 2 miles from San Pedro Columbia, the largest Kekchi Maya settlement in Belize. The farm started out as a semi abandoned cattle and citrus farm, and is now a very well developed stacked polyculture with hundreds of species of trees.

As a working farm, Selva Nueva has adapted many sustainable technologies such as Agroforestry, Aquaculture, Natural Building, Holistic Animal Management and Alternative Energy to create its needs and surplus for food, shelter and energy. As a model, Selva Nueva acts as a demonstration of opportunities in integrated design and land management for bringing livelihood, sustainability and regeneration to rural and marginal Latin America.

| Chi Forest Environmental Education Centre, Ecuador
Chi Forest (or Selva Chi in Spanish) is an Environmental Education Centre. Within this concept local farmers are mostly "educated" by observing our exemplar permaculture farm and copying aspects of it, while everyone can learn from the botanic garden, the forest reserve and nearby marine reserve, and everyone can learn to appreciate nature more from the outdoor recreation facilities and camps/field studies/courses in various disciplines.
