Thanks for the heads up Scott! It would be great to meet up and share knowledge sometime regarding these projects. We're just in the first days of our first PDC on site here. The weather continues to challenge us but we are working hard to get our buildings done now so that we can ride out the wet season.

All the best!

We are probably about an hour from you and also developing a permaculture site. I will be interested to see you plans develop and how you take advantage of 6 months rain with 6 months dry.

The Thai govt gives our green manure seeds free to farmers and HDPE irrigation pipe a can be bought for a fraction of the cost of blue PVC.

Chok dee! I'm a retiree in the rural north whose access to gardens are but the 20x22m lot our home sits upon. Still, our small land supplies much of the needs for a household of 6. And the weather here is great for growing - once one gets the seasons understood and clay soil gets amended. Then its a matter of supporting nature in having the right things with enough time. Please send me an email reply and we can exchange ideas, photos etc.

Some people are well along on integrating the local plants into their diets - like pak wan, a perennial shrub with edible leaves that thrives during the rains. Moringa thrives here, and there are many leguminous plants - up to the tamarind in size.
