He’s in Hamakua. He’s also buddies with some other permaculture types working at the Waipio on Horseback ranch. He was kind enough to give me a great tour of some permaculture gardens when I stumbled upon him at a farmer’s market recently. Really knew his stuff. I’m surprised all the permaculturalists on that island don’t know of each other.

This is going to be an incredible series of courses. We’re working with Malia Akutagawa of Sust’ainable Molokai to train a key group of locals so they can incorporate Permaculture tools into their existing programs and also become Permaculture teachers for future courses on the Island. We are hoping this will exponentially increase the skills and labor needed to repair the island’s ecosystems and halt erosion to its reefs.
