God giving the earth to man is like a father giving his son a new car. If the son damages it beyond repair, he's definitely not getting a new one!

I have seen a documentary recently where a cannibal said these words: "God wouldn't have created man of flesh if he didn' want us to eat it" ...

Thanks for this great article.

From the Psalm of Life.
In the world's broad field of battle,
        In the bivouac of Life,
    Be not like dumb, driven cattle !
        Be a hero in the strife !

    Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant !
        Let the dead Past bury its dead !
    Act,— act in the living Present !
        Heart within, and God o'erhead !

    Lives of great men all remind us
        We can make our lives sublime,
    And, departing, leave behind us
        Footprints on the sands of time ;

Thank you so much for your article. It seems to me that we must constantly evolve our human consciousness towards sustainability and away from a fear and power based mentality that makes exploitation a reality.I also believe that with loving care, berms, swales and waterworks, the beautifully majestic arboreal heritage of Carthage, Tarsus and Babylon could be restored. Yes it would take time, but we need to evolve the question of time in human consciousness away from just now, to a much more far reaching perspective of time, where today's actions reflect a desire for a better present and future as well as a remediation of past travesty through transformative actions today.

Only when deforestation is treated as the crime it is, mass murder, will we have a chance of stopping the holocaust. Holding corporations legally responsible (as they are persons) as well as every officer and member of the board, for the actions of their company would also be a good start. Awesome post.
