This is especially annoying when documenting the misdeeds of private media, of course, as with the link referenced above in the article. People don't consult them. They either knee-jerk believe it, or they knee-jerk disbelieve it (and manufacture their own truth, probably a conspiracy theory). People are intellectually lazy.
