This is a very positive account of what is not just happening in US. Here in Australia, there has been a huge surge of interest in all of the local initiatives. We've got local community gardens (I visited one this morning) a school garden programme, and people are enjoying the spirit of local farmers' markets as social and community meeting places, as well as somewhere to shop and support a locavore approach. There is also an increased interest in home gardening, and an increase of scrumping (foraging) for food. Thanks to you, and peace be with you too :)

A good positive post. More of this is heartening and required. Keep manufacturing consent, the public need to feel empowered to act meaningfully. It is a great website generally, developing into a valuable resource for the new era. Thanks and peace be with you

Nice to hear of some common sense changes being made. It will be a happy day when localization becomes the norm rather than the exception.
