Hi,

We've been importing Schrockenfux scythes from Austria for some years now. Given the number of people delighted in using this, aptly dubbed, "porridge powered lawn mower" we thought to bring it to the attention of more by offering to travel down to Sydney and demo the tool at group meetings if so desired. Schrockenfux, by the way, have been making scythes, and more, since 1540 so know a bit about quality.

What uses?? Cutting meadow hay (long grasses)for fodder mixes. Green plant input to compost heaps...and more. No noise, just a wonderfully satisfying, meditative, exercise that does little or no damage to treasured plants.

Rosemary & Barry Hadaway of Permaculture North are near neighbours up here in Mudgee and regular visitors to our "Scything PLUS" weekends here at Hazelcombe Farm

I was just told by Ashfield Council about you guys. I tried to find out the contact details of the Permaculture group for the Ashfield/Ashbury area but the page wouldnt download http://www.permaculturesydney.org.au/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/PN_DLBrox5.pdf
I am interested in starting up a small chicken enclosure with 2 hens.
