Warren Brush, a Permaculture designer and educator and the co-founder of Quail Springs Learning Oasis and Permaculture Farm has a blog about the work he is doing in Africa.
True Nature Design was founded by Warren Brush. Our work in Permaculture design and education has been primarily focused in North America and in Africa. We offer whole site sustainability and regenerative planning for residences, schools, businesses, and communities. Hi WARREN.Am glad for your journeys to Afrca.Am a part time student inthe University taking my BSC Degree in Organic Farming and having trained by Geoff Lawton on PDC at a local workshop last year in tanzania.Am a Kenyan Citizen and so much interested to establish a permaculture training centre in East Africa particularly in Kenya to enlighten people on this brilliant idea.i have a good site to practice this.As a practitioner how would you help me out to achieve this important objective.

There are several people from Kenya working with local people from my area of California who may be able to help with your dreams of building a demonstration site. Are you going to the 2009 International Permaculture Convergence in South Africa?

I am very happy to hear from an other Kenyan interested in Permaculture! I totally agree with you that Kenya seems quite ready for a demonstration site and a permaculture training centre.
My name is Johara Bellali, I am an Environment Engineer writing a research project on Permaculture and Poverty Reduction for my MSc.
I live in Nairobi and am helping a Youth Group on an Organic farm and water&sanitation project in Kibera slums.
I am trying to connect with Permaculturists in Kenya, create a network (maybe first as a google group?) and organise a PDC here with Greg Knibbs and Permaculture Across Border. I would very much like to collaborate with you about these. Just returned from a two-week in Kenya. Am happy to collaborate on a project to disseminate permaculture resources in Kenya.

Hey you guys, Im no big gun like you three, but have just recently done a PDC. I live in NSW, Australia and am heading to Africa with my sister to get involved in some Permaculture work. We may be there for up to a year so if anyone would like some help let me know greengumleaf@hotmail.com. I have done an Industrial Design Degree and my sister a Design and Teaching Degree too.
Be great to here from anyone!!!
ps We will be leaving in a months time. We are planning on travelling from SouthA to Keny to hopefully do some Permaculture work there.

In Kenya we are glad to let all readers in this web that there will be permaculture design course in kenya next year in march that will be tought by WARREN BRUSH FROM QUAILSPRINGS LEARNING OASIS (USA)this will be held in a childrens home in kitui kenya with 1000acres all currently certfied organic by Ecocert.your requested to confirm your attendance early.this is a no let go opportunity.

Dear All,
This is a great idea that should be shared to the whole world and Kenya!I was in Zimbabwe conducting a different training all together and I had an opportunity to vist Kufunda Village in the outskirts of Harare where they practice permaculture.I must admit I was quite amazed on what they do there and am very sure this is one way we can empower our communities especially in Kenya where our people die of hunger! Warren, Joseph, Johara, Steve & Will, we must link up & see how we can work together. Am gonna send you all an email(unfortunately Steve Adams your email address is not here) to have your thoughts on this.
